In our first workshop of the year, experienced costumer Sarah Stammler will be giving a talk about Costume Design for amateur dramatic productions, teaching the process from initial ideas through to sourcing and managing costumes during productions. This particular workshop is focused on the design and management of Costume rather than costume making, which will be in another workshop later this year.
Sarah has over 30 years of experience with Costume and Wardrobe in both amateur and professional stage productions. Her workshop will include hard-earned knowledge, tips and tricks to help you gain understanding and confidence managing the costumes for future amateur productions. In this workshop you will learn:
Costume Design for Amateur Theatre: Initial Ideas
Researching and preparing costumes for Stage
Budgeting and Sourcing Costumes
Wardrobe: Costume management during productions
