Wintering in The Catskills: Past, Present, & Reinvention Illustrated Talk

Join photographers Isaac and Marisa Scheinfeld at Scribner’s Catskill Lodge on Saturday, December 13th for 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨: 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩, 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 & 𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 — a visual journey through the Catskills’ winter landscapes, a season often eclipsed by summer leisure.

Using rare, archival imagery, the duo explores the mid‑century architecture of Borscht Belt resorts and how these spaces were adapted for winter, with skating rinks, ski lodges, indoor pools, and other seasonal innovations that turned the area into a year round destination.

Both will share works from their forthcoming publications and highlight their ongoing work with the Marker Project followed by a short Q&A.
