Outdoor Theatre - Sedgeford, Saturday 19th July
Following on the heels of last year’s outdoor performance, Sedgeford will be staging The Rivals, a comedy set in the elegant Georgian city of Bath.
First performed in 1775, the themes it explores make it still relevant today. Close-ups on the intrigues of the in-crowd, which formed the backbone of 18th century London society. A tale of dark deeds and duels, romantic entanglements and hilarious comedy from start to finish.
We're delighted to welcome back the Gloucester-based Rain or Shine Theatre Company, after gracing our first outdoor theatre with their performance of Oscar Wilde's, The Importance of Being Earnest, which last year attracted an audience of 180 people who enjoyed picnics and wine under a spectacular west Norfolk sunset. Why not come and meet Mrs Malaprop, yes, she of the mangled, inappropriate words...under the stars at Sedgeford.
