Gopher Snakes

While gopher snakes are not primarily found in the Houston area, they share many physiological characteristics and habits to some of our local colubrids. Join Martin de Vore in the nature center to
learn about this snake’s natural history, behavior and ecological role in their native habitats. Meet this friendly ambassador up close. Afterwards, take a self-guided stroll on our trails to enjoy the biodiversity of life in Jesse Jones Park.
