Paws up, dog lovers! It's time to get your tail waggin' for the biggest, baddest, and most bark-tastic Paw Palooza yet! We're rolling out the red carpet (or should we say, the green grass?) for all our furry friends and their humans to come out and play. But wait, there's more! The highlight of the event is the wiener dog race, where the fastest and furriest will compete to be crowned top dog. So don't be a lazy pup, grab your leash and head to Paw Palooza for a doggone good time! It’s going to be a real howl!
The Hueytown Chamber is getting ready for their 7th Annual PAW Palooza & Wiener Dog Races, SUNDAY, September 28, 2025 2p – 4p.m.
Hueytown City Park, 104 Forest Rd., Hueytown. This is a FREE community event and is open to four-legged pets and their people. The event could not be free to the public without sponsors.
Hueytown Paw Palooza welcomes all ages of humans and well behaved “leashed” dogs. Family friendly activities and a kid’s fun zone will add to the celebration of the special pets in our lives.
When the Wiener Dog heat races begin and each of these winners will compete for the Championship. The winner will rise above all others on their Olympic themed Championship platform!
At the conclusion of the wiener dog race, the “wanna-be” wiener dogs will have their turn to shine. These competitors may be small, medium or large and any breed other than Dachshunds.
