More confidence at school = more peace at home.
Parenting through the school years can feel overwhelming. Between homework battles, communication breakdowns, and the pressure to help your child succeed, many families find themselves running on empty by mid-year.
This interactive workshop for parents with veteran teacher and resource specialist Laurie McMurdo will give you practical, sustainable strategies to make school life less stressful—for both you and your child.
You’ll learn how to:
- Advocate effectively for your child in the school setting (and teach your child to self-advocate).
- Remove the nightly homework battle.
- Build independence and confidence in your child.
- Create routines that bring more harmony at home and success at school.
Please note that this is a session aimed at parents and caregivers. Sessions for children will be planned for a later date.
Laurie brings nearly 30 years of classroom experience—from elementary to high school—supporting more than 2,000 students and their families. Her compassionate, solution-focused approach has helped countless parents move from frustration to peace, and from exhaustion to joy.
Come ready for an evening of tips, discussion, and practical tools that you can put into practice right away.
Tickets are $25 per family, to encourage all parents / caretakers of each child to attend if they wish.
