Menopause: Navigate the Change with Confidence
1-2pm: Dr. Beth Biggee, MD, triple Board Certified physician in Rheumatology, Integrative Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine
Dr. Biggee will kick-off the workshop with an interactive educational discussion on how to manage menopause by addressing Lifestyle Medicine’s six pillars of health, as well as holistic and supplement approaches to menopausal symptoms.
2:10-3:10: Debbie Ward, Certified Health/Life Coach & RYT-200 Kripalu Yoga Teacher
Debbie has had Osteopenia/Osteoporosis for many years. She will share her journey and discuss the importance of exploring solutions with awareness and education in four key areas; testing, nutrition, stress, and movement. She will then lead a short yoga practice highlighting modifications for Osteo safety.
3:20-4:20: Lauren Oliver, Certified Yoga Therapist, Integrative Health Coach & RYT-500 Trauma-informed Yoga Teacher
According to Ayurveda, during menopause, the essential energy that governs the body and mind transitions from pitta dosha (fire + water) to vata dosha (air + space). To support this change, Lauren Oliver, Yoga Therapist and Integrative Health Coach, will close the workshop with a lesson in Ayurveda and grounding practices that offer empowerment and ease. Through therapeutic yoga, breathwork, Ayurvedic insights, and guided meditation, you'll explore simple yet powerful tools to ease this energetic shift. Expect to leave feeling deeply relaxed, restored, and rooted.
