I have a great eye for the overlooked things, and the beauty of simplicity. I have lived in Los Angeles,the Bay Area, Cleveland, Washington D.C. and Sydney,Australia, which has given me a unique experience and has shaped the way I approach photography. I love to capture subjects and scenes that convey a story, landscapes in particular are my favorite however, I am open to shooting anything.I hope you enjoy my art work.
Lizzi Aronhalt - As an artist I seek to understand and make sense of the world around me through drawing and painting. Painting for me is a method to better understand the ordinary aspects of life and to celebrate them. Much of my recent work is an exploration of the places I inhabit and the ways that places connect us to memory, emotion and other people. It is an exploration and a celebration, an inquiry and an exclamation through bold color and lively lines. The work does not capture the iconic, but the typical with a fresh view. The scenes and places and subjects I have chosen may at times be in prominent cities and urban centers, but they capture the typical and everyday with content such as the skyline of a small city in Eastern Europe, ice cream stands in Akron, and wildflowers in Wyoming. The work compels the viewer to question and notice the beauty and complexity in the everyday life and beauty that surrounds us.
