ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us on an exciting canoe adventure through the longest, deepest and highest canal tunnel in the UK.
During this 2-hour guided canoe trip, get close up to one of the seven wonders of the waterways, see first-hand this amazing feat of engineering built over 200 years ago and discover how a 3.25-mile tunnel was constructed deep under the Pennine hills.
Using Canal & River Trust canoes, paddles, helmets and buoyancy aids, our paddlesports instructors will guide you through the tunnel, highlighting and explaining the tunnel and all its unique features. Participants are welcome to use their own buoyancy aids and helmets. Please note you will need experience of paddling in a canoe or kayak.
This is a one-way trip. You will need to make your own way back to the starting point by bus, taxi or 5-mile walk over the top of the tunnel, across Marsden Moor.
Unfortunately we are unable to welcome dogs to this event. But please do look out for other events where dogs are welcome!
