Storytime Friday! -- Dragon Post

Join us for the first Friday of the month - for STORYTIME!

We will be reading Dragon Post, then doing themed activities! I plan on mad libs, letter-writing station and an open-ended art project that revolves around dragons.



🐉 "Dragon Post" Emma Yarlett

Duration: 15–20 minutes


✉️ Activity Stations (Each ~15–30 mins)

🐉 1. Dragon Mad Libs
Materials: Printed mad libs sheets (dragon-themed), pencils/pens

Age Modifications:

Younger kids: Have a helper read and fill in answers

Older kids: Work independently or in pairs



✍️ 2. Letter-Writing Station: “Dear Dragon…”
Prompt: Write a letter to a dragon or from a dragon (like in the book!)

Materials (included!)

Fun paper and envelopes

Stickers, stamps, markers

Writing prompts for kids who need help getting started (e.g. "Why are you hiding in the woods?" or "What do dragons like to eat?")

** If I have the time, I'm planning to make a “dragon mailbox” for them to ‘send’ letters.
