Liliana Chenlo is concluding her visit to Houston with two great workshops designed to add beauty and expression to your dance and deepen your connection with tango music.
3:00 PM - In this workshop we’ll dive into the technique and connection needed to create precise, elegant, and creative sweeps (barridas). You’ll learn how to lead and follow a sweep with intention, control, and musicality, understanding the active role of both partners. We’ll also explore how to naturally incorporate sweeps into your improvisation, adding nuance and playfulness to the dance. Perfect for dancers who want to enrich their tango with subtle and expressive elements.

This class invites you to experience tango music through your body. We’ll explore rhythm, pulse, phrasing, accents, and pauses in a playful, physical, and intuitive way. Learn to listen deeply, move with intention, and let the music guide your dance.
