SMR Annual Member Meeting

Preliminary Information:
- Friday afternoon greet and meet.
- Farm tour if enough are there. Soup and sandwiches on Friday night.
- Saturday morning breakfast. Endurance clinic. Lunch. Farm tours - Saturday afternoon. Dinner/Supper (we are in the south)

Temperatures are usually very warm in the afternoons. Trails are open for riding for those that may want to bring horses. Friday or Saturday trail rides may be worked into the schedule if enough bring riding stock.

Stinkin' Jim's is a rustic horse camp with campsites with water, power, and a waste station on site. They have a large pavilion with an attached kitchen, bathrooms, and showers. There are several bunk houses, 2 cabins with bathrooms and kitchen areas, 6 cabins without baths centrally located near the pavilion. There are also stalls, open stalls, pipe stalls, trailer hookups (water and electricity) and a small arena area.

Local attractions are the Tanglefoot trails for hiking and bicycle traffic. It is near the Natchez Trace and Witchdane rest area adjacent to Tombigbee National Forest in Chickasaw County. Davis Lake State Park about 6 miles. Elvis Presley birth place and museum is in Tupelo, MS.

Houston has several fast food places and convenience stores with fuel, and hotel rooms @Daisy's on the Square Hotel and Gather Restaurant/Coffee Shop, Trailhead Bike and Bed, and Holiday Terrace Motel. Tupelo, MS has many hotels.
