MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

Featured Performance: James Taylor Tribute Set

James Taylor’s music has touched generations with his tender vocals, timeless songwriting, and emotional honesty. His influence spans genres and decades—his songs are staples of the American songbook.

Houston-based artist Jerry Rowell honors this legacy with a heartfelt tribute that not only preserves Taylor’s iconic compositions, but delivers them with uncanny vocal and stylistic similarity. This is more than a cover set—it’s a celebration of storytelling through song.

Opening Act: Synesthesia Vocal Ensemble

A genre-blending vocal ensemble rooted in both classical and jazz traditions, Synesthesia delivers harmonically rich and emotionally engaging arrangements. Their performance will feature beloved works like “Chega de Saudade” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

Special Guest Appearances

• Nicoya Polar – A Houston-based jazz vocalist known for her rich tone, emotional depth, and effortless interpretation of the Great American Songbook. Her sound fuses elegance and soul with a timeless presence.
• Robbie Madison – Singer-songwriter, educator, and founder of Madison Arts, Robbie blends jazz, gospel, and poetic lyricism in original works and reimaginations of classics. He has performed internationally, featured in various festivals and shared stages with artists like Josh Groban, Brandon Lake, and Wycliffe Gordon.
