Sarah Golden, Stacy Antonel, and Sophie Gault hit the Big Top for a Thursday night full of great tunes!
*Sarah Golden*
Houston native, Sarah Golden, is a folk singer-songwriter whose soulful storytelling and heartfelt performances have captivated audiences since the release of her debut album, Truth, in 2002, which earned her a spot as a Kerrville New Folk finalist. A top-36 finalist on Season 2 of NBC's The Voice on Team CeeLo Green, and a top-100 finalist on Season 4 of America's Got Talent, Golden has gone on to earn multiple awards and nominations, including Best Folk/Roots/Country Song for "The One I Love" and Adult Contemporary Song of the Year for "Who Gives a Damn". She is currently a top-25 finalist in the InterContinental Music Awards, a prestigious global music competition that recognizes exceptional artists from across the world and celebrates music as a universal language of unity, for her co-write with Nathan K. on "Who is Gonna Rebuild LA?".
Known for her rich vocals and meaningful lyrics, Golden has shared the stage with such acclaimed artists as Amy Ray, Shawn Colvin, Susan Gibson, and Ruthie Foster. Her Sessions EP showcases her signature sound and builds anticipation for her forthcoming full-length album, currently being recorded and produced by Edgewater Music Group in Sugar Land, TX, which will highlight her sociopolitical activism and human rights advocacy.
*Stacy Antonel*
Imagine Tammy Wynette crossed with the Ventures and you’ll have an idea of the sonic world of Americana artist Stacy Antonel’s new EP, The Seahorses: Volume One. Always a genre-defying artist, Antonel blends her passion for classic country, jazz and surf rock with this collection of covers, and the result is a fresh hybrid of musical styles that feels both vintage and hyper-modern. Her 2022 debut album Always the Outsider was critically praised, netting coverage in publications from Main Street Nashville to The Bluegrass Situation, and was hailed as a 2022 Essential Album by Saving Country Music.
*Sophie Gault*
Sophie Gault, a Nashville-based alt-country artist, has a unique ability to blend sweet and gritty music, creating gripping, unapologetic, and deeply personal songs. Despite facing the debilitating mystery of bipolar disorder and spending three stints in institutions, Sophie has emerged empowered, solidified a record deal and management, and has released two masterful albums that showcase her hauntingly beautiful voice and expressive lyrics, including 2024's Baltic Street Hotel. The album, featuring the leadoff track "Kick the Devil Away," deals with the complex and often misunderstood issue of mental illness.
Sophie's first record, Delusions of Grandeur, earned No Depression attention for its vivid storytelling and timeless sounds. She regularly plays in Nashville, including at the Bluebird Cafe. She can be heard on Lucinda Williams' album, Stories From a Rock n Roll Heart, and has toured with artists like Sister Hazel, Jason Eady, Gabe Lee, and Margo Cliker. In 2025, she plans to return to the road with Jason Eady and launch a headlining tour while recording a new album at Johnny Cash's Cash Cabin studios. Sophie continues to celebrate vanquishing the "devil" she sings about in Baltic Street Hotel while becoming a new voice for those who battle their own devils.
