Join us for a special night of experimental music featuring Jacob Hutto and Sanctuary
Opening the evening upstairs:
Jacob Hutto
JACOB HUTTO (@jacobhuttomusic) is an experimental musician and multi-instrumentalist. Often tinkering under the framework of a singer-songwriter, Jacob’s work hops back and forth between several genres and projects, whether it be his dabbling in solo work, post-rock (@amillionwaysband), indie folk (@ohooray), dream pop (@gammawave.music), free improvisation (@psychosomaticaband), or even punk music (@bleachraghtx). Expanding upon a solo show earlier this year, this 45 minute set sees Jacob weaving through solo material, ambient, droney passages and A Million Ways… songs in an unadorned and intimate fashion.
In the Dome:
SANCTUARY (Featured Artist)
Sanctuary will perform her latest album, Yes. It draws inspiration from La Via Dolorosa, ambient and punk rock music. The performance will span approximately 30 minutes with live, experimental vocals, and will also include poetic incorporations from her latest, unreleased chapbook, Black. The performance will be a visceral escape and grand epiphany.
Andra Durham is a multidisciplinary artist that advances critical cultural dialogue and demonstrates an unwavering commitment to amplifying essential messages in contemporary art. Through poetry, sound production, modeling, visual art, and event curation, Durham slices through conventional artistic boundaries like obsidian through silk. Notable examples of work include Fractured, Yet Healing (Wipf + Stock), selected poet (Cave Canem Houston Regional workshop, "Further Invention"), and Free Improvisation (Nameless Sound and Volta).
