Please join us to discuss “Paul and Jesus” by James D. Tabor. 237 pages. In this compulsively readable exploration of the tangled world of Christian origins, Mr Tabor explains Paul’s unique view of Jesus, and the amazing story of how Paul became an apostle without ever meeting Jesus. A story that is plainly told by Paul himself in the Bible, but astoundingly is unknown by most Christians. Tabor gives readers much to consider, especially how Paul separated himself from Peter and James to introduce his own version of Christianity, so that it is a Pauline Christianity that most Christians practice today.
