Monthly Swap Meet & Skill Share

At its core, the Swap Meet & Skill Share is about sharing what we have, reducing waste, and supporting one another. We can freely give things we have plenty of, trade goods and services for mutual benefit, or borrow from each other instead of buying new—all in the spirit of connection, community, and sustainability.

Learn how to turn plastic bags into sleeping mats for unhoused neighbors. Bring clean plastic bags if you’d like to join in. If you have knitting needles bring those as well, but they are not required.

Support Drives

Free Things
Take what you need from freely offered items like clothes, books, hygiene products, and nonperishables. Some folks may also offer services like quick sewing fixes or tech help.

Things to Trade
Swap goods or skills for something you need. For example, someone might trade a waffle maker for bike tools—or join a chain of trades where everyone walks away with something useful.

Things to Borrow
Lend or borrow items that are helpful but not used often—like a projector, cake pan, or camping gear.

1. Any clothing should be freshly cleaned
2. If any clothing items are in need of repair, please pin a note to them describing the repair needed
3. Do not bring underwear
4. Any food brought should be nonperishable, unopened, and unexpired
5. Any hygiene items brought should be new, unopened, and unexpired (if applicable)
6. All trading and borrowing is strictly non-monetary. This isn't a yard sale, or a marketplace
7. There will be a "tip" jar at the event. This is so that people can contribute to helping pay for the venue rental and any equipment/materials needed to run the event. There is no requirement to contribute financially in order to participate.
8. All trades are strictly voluntary and for mutual benefit. No one should be trying to "make a profit".
9. No alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances of any kind, either for trade or personal use.
