About Laura Virgadamo
President and Licensed Electrical Contractor TECL17609
Harmony Electric Co., Inc. since 1985
I began my career in Accounting with a major Convenience store chain for 12 ½ years, from the ground up, eventually advancing to setting up and managing new accounting operations for the company. I left that industry to start Harmony Electric with my husband, Dennis, during the recession of the 1980’s. I am a licensed Journeyman Electrician and Electrical Contractor, and manage the business operations.
Harmony Electric offers qualified residential and commercial electrical service repairs and maintenance with licensed and highly skilled technicians. Winner of the Pulse of the City Award for Excellence for the past 14 years. Members of Independent Electrical Contractors Association, Better Business Bureau, Greater Heights Area Chamber of Commerce, and Houston Heights Association.
I am married to Dennis Virgadamo, 47 years. We have three adult children, John, Anthony (deceased) and Autumn, four grandchildren, Anthony 16, student at DeBakey High School for Health Science, Aiden 11, in Colorado Springs, CO, Ava 12 and Arlo10 in Danville, CA.
I am a great believer in investing in my local community, the City of Houston, the State of Texas and the History of same. I have served on numerous Boards, including Houston Heights Association, Heights Rotary Club, Opera in the Heights, Houston Heights Woman’s Club and five years on the Citizen’s Review Committee with Houston Police Department under Chief C.O. Bradford. I recently organized and Chaired “A Look Back at the History of the Houston Heights”, one of my great passions. I am a Chaplaincy Volunteer with the State of Texas for over 20 years, both assisting in religious services in the prisons and working to help those re-entering society on the outside. I like to write articles for local publications and social media about issues that interest me and help the community. And I like to garden and cook, a hobby that began when my husband Dennis and I started the 17th Street Heights Community Garden. I love music and enjoy sharing a wide variety of musical venues with Anthony and to travel with my family
