Art in the Making

Sawyer Yards invites you to step Inside the Yards, a new event series running every Saturday in October. Each week brings a different building, a different creative experience, and a chance to connect with the artists who make our community thrive.

Art in the Making at Silver Street Studios invites the community to roll up their sleeves and create alongside resident artists. In this interactive event, Silver Street artists will guide a hands-on collaborative project that celebrates our shared stories and imagination. Each participant’s contribution will become part of a larger collective work of art, reflecting the creativity of our campus and the spirit of Arts District Houston. Come be part of the process and see how art connects us all. During the day you can also enjoy:

Screen print your own bandana with Black Swan Screen Printing (free, available while supplies last)
Groove to a DJ set and live music by Krista Sharpe
Snap a photo in the roaming photobooth
Explore open art studios and engaging exhibitions throughout the building

Enjoy drink samples from local favorites

Inside the Yards is free to attend and great for all ages.
