You Are the Temple: A Dancing from the Deep Heart workshop through The Jung Center of Houston

Dancing from the Deep Heart is a gently facilitated movement experience designed to be a time and place to settle in and move at your own pace, towards your own unique path of healing and creativity. Utilizing deeply embodied exploration, in order to nourish and support on all levels. Luscious music, luxurious stretching, and slow movement join with consciousness and breath to organically flow into personal exploration of movement, rest, and creative expression. In companionship with others, each also absorbed in their own process. The practice draws on Dancemeditation,™ Yoga, Sufi spiritual healing, the vibrations, undulations, and circular shapes of bellydance, as well as spatial and sculptural awareness of one's body in space as inspired from other dance traditions. Each session is infused with one or more of the Divine Names from the Sufi tradition.

Karuna Haber is a dance artist starting with ballet, and moving into modern and Middle Eastern dance, Yoga, and Dancemeditation™. She is a long-time student of Sufism and practicing healer and Master teacher in the Shadhuli lineage, and a bodyworker with many years experience. She weaves each of these beautifully related threads into a tapestry that is unique to each offering, in response to the moment and those present.
