An Evening with ArnieTex & Friends: A National Fajita Day Celebration

The Original Ninfa’s Uptown is celebrating National Fajita Day on Monday, August 18 with Texas-based pitmaster, content creator, and “YouTube’s Tío”, Arnie “ArnieTex” Segovia. ArnieTex brings his bold flavors to the table alongside Ninfa’s executive chef Patti Delgado for a one-night-only collaboration. The Original Ninfa’s Uptown invites the community to attend this unforgettable event where Tex-Mex meets Texas BBQ.

Guests can expect complimentary small bites in collaboration with Nolan Ryan Beef, live mariachi entertainment, a Cara Buena Tequila pop-up bar, ArnieTex merch for sale, photo opps, and more! This portion of the event will be open to the public.

This free event will also include a live Q&A with Arnie, Chef Patti, and Texas Monthly taco editor José R. Ralat, where guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at their culinary journeys, flavor philosophies, and all things Tex-Mex. The Q&A portion will be free, but requires an RSVP due to limited space.

Known for his authentic Texas-Mexican recipes and his traditional blend of Southwest, Texas, and Norteño cooking techniques, Segovia is celebrating the release of his new book, which recently landed on the New York Times Best Seller list. ArnieTex: Over 100 Recipes for Mexican-American Cooking and Texas-Style BBQ will be available for purchase at the birthplace of the fajita during an evening of food, flavor, and storytelling.
