Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a gentle, relaxing, and meditative style of practice which incorporates bolsters, blocks, blankets, weighted bags, and other props to help reduce tension and move towards a stillness of mind. Props help make poses and alignment more accessible increasing the benefits to release and heal. This class is inspired by the work of Judith Lasater, BKS Iyengar & many other pioneers of Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra studies.

The class often includes breathing techniques (pranayama), guided meditation, and Yoga Nidra. Classes can include specific focuses upon releasing neck, shoulders, and hips tension while reducing overall physical and mental stress. No experience necessary and most will find this practice beneficial including beginners, multi-discipline athletes, the non-flexible, and advanced practitioners.

The room is not heated nor air conditioned. It is slightly warm.
