This unique immersion explores yin yoga's powerful connection to your nervous system, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles, and your subtle energetic body - providing practical tools for self-regulation and profound relaxation.
What You'll Learn & Experience:
Over this immersive weekend, you'll gain a holistic understanding on how to enhance your well-being:
Day 1: Foundations & Energy Flow
Morning: Settle in with a gentle yin practice focused on releasing tension and activating your parasympathetic nervous system ("rest and digest"). You'll learn the physical and mental benefits of yin yoga, and how it differs from active yoga styles. We'll explore the balance between your sympathetic ("fight or flight") and parasympathetic responses, and explore practices on how to strengthen interoception (awareness of internal bodily sensations). Explore the link between breath and the energetic body.
Afternoon: Get a glimpse into the fascinating world of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Discover Qi (life force energy) and its circulation through meridian channels. You'll be introduced to the 12 primary meridians and end with an afternoon yin practice focused on feeling these pathways in your body
Day 2: Deepening Practice & Integration
Morning: Start with an introduction to the Five Element Theory (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood) and learn how stress can manifest within each. The morning culminates in a deeper Yin practice incorporating Thai massage.
Afternoon: Explore additional nervous system reset techniques beyond the mat, and learn to respond thoughtfully rather than react to life's challenges. You'll then create a personalized reset routine using the learned techniques.
The immersion concludes with a restorative yoga practice to drop deep into the parasympathetic nervous system and leave you feeling refreshed!
This weekend will include 4 full yoga practices (2 yin practices, yin with Thai massage, and restorative yoga), breath and stress release techniques, Thai massage, and LOTS of self care!

This is an all day session. The room will not be heated, but please feel free to bring a change of clothing if desired. Lunch will not be provided. There will be time permitted to leave for lunch, but please feel free to bring a lunch!
