Our mountain bike experiences are based on safety, fun fellowship, skill and confidence building, and inclusivity.
We are privately insured and trained by PMBIA, BICP, WFA, CHTC Bike Patrol, and Emergency Medical Responder.
All of our For the Love of BIKES coaches are committed to our core values of safety and risk management.
Structure:
Signups to include a survey to help us group athletes by age and ability/goals.
Groups:
Age 10-12 COED (two groups based on goals)
Age 13-14 COED Intermediate (have ridden for at least 2 years)
Focused on experienced riders, (couple years of riding experience)
** We are firm on these age groups and no exceptions to promote safety and quality standards. We plan to expand for 2026 and offer private sessions.**
Helmets are required, participants are encouraged to bring their favorite energy gels, electrolytes , bars, and nutrition fuel.
Pads highly encouraged
Ratio: 8 athletes to 1 Coach and 1 assistant.
Online waiver required prior to participation.

Friday evening 6 pm - 8 pm @ Nara
Welcome, introductions, build rapport, safety talk, break into groups
In groups: get to know each other games, bike checks, expectations for the camp.
Discuss season and long term goals.
Snacks and refreshments served.
Saturday 9 am - 4 pm, (1 hour break for lunch-provided) @ Wax barn

Stability and Balance
Operation of Controls
Terrain Awareness
Direction Control
Pressure Control
Timing and Coordination
Incorporate more games and application of skills.
Trail application including trail etiquette and safety talk
Incorporate more games and application of skills.
Present natural and portable features, demo, then move into safe teaching progression of skills and maneuvers.
Lots of practice
Sunday 9 am to 12 pm @ Wax barn
Trail application including trail etiquette and safety talk
Incorporate more games and application of skills.
Wrap up as a group, Ice cream provided at conclusion.
