Recognising that the path to having a family isn’t straightforward for LGBT+ people, we want to help you explore the options available to you and bust a few myths. Every child deserves a safe and loving home. Could you be the one to give them this? Hear from your local not-for-profit fostering service, and Adoption South East, who will be happy to answer all of your questions…
Adoption South East (adoptionsoutheast.org.uk) is a partnership of councils from East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, and Surrey working to make the adoption process quicker and simpler. We have a wealth of expertise in bringing together children with safe, secure, loving and permanent adoptive families.
West Sussex County Council (fosteringwestsussex.org.uk)
Brighton and Hove City Council (brighton-hove.gov.uk/foster)
East Sussex County Council (eastsussex.gov.uk/fostering)
Across Sussex, children who are unable to live with their birth family need foster carers to provide love, care and compassion to help give them the best possible start in life. This could be on a short- or long-term basis and carers receive training, support and competitive pay to help every child achieve their potential.
The event will feature short presentations from our experts, with an opportunity afterwards to join the breakout room of your choice, where you can speak to your local adoption team and adoptive parents, or chat with your local fostering team and hear first-hand from local foster carers.
We hope you can join us!
Date: Thursday 10th July
Time: 7pm - 8:30pm
