We’re excited to invite you to the Hunique Szatmári 2025 - Folk Dance Weekend – UK 2025 — a three-day immersive experience filled with traditional Hungarian folk dance workshops, live music, and evening dance parties!
Taking place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, we’re returning once again to the beautiful Gaveston Hall in Nuthurst for an unforgettable celebration of dance, music, and community.

📌 This Year’s Dance : Szatmári
👨🏫 Dance Instructors
Dance workshops led by Mónika Mezei and Bence Dudás, two young and enthusiastic folk dance instructors from Hungary, eager to share their passion for dance with great energy and dedication.
🎻 The Band
The fantastic Folktone Band (UK) will be playing live music for both the afternoon workshops and the evening social dance parties ("táncház").

Dancers of all levels are welcome! Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced dancer, our skilled instructors will make sure you feel comfortable and have fun. Szatmári is a great choice even for those with little partner dance experience — it’s also dynamic, great for cardio 🙂.
Language & Inclusivity
People of all nationalities are welcome! Please note that dance instruction will be in Hungarian, but if you're not fluent, you can follow along by watching the movements and listening to the music. Many participants speak English and will be happy to help.

A tavaszi bank holiday hétvégén ismét visszatérünk a gyönyörű Gaveston Hall-ba egy felejthetetlen táncos, zenés, csapatepitő közösségi eseményére.

👨🏫 Oktatók
A táncműhelyt Mezei Mónika és Dudás Bence vezetik. Két fiatal, lelkes oktató Magyarországról akik hatalmas lelkesedéssel igyekeznek megosztani saját szenvedélyüket a tánc iránt.
🎻 A zenekar
A fantasztikus és sokatok által tán jól ismert Folktone Zenekar (UK) biztosítja az élő zenét a délutáni táncműhelyen és az esti táncházakban is.
