Discover the wild beauty of Horncastle with East Mercia Rivers Trust on our brand-new, now live guided riverside walk — led by Resilient Rivers Officer (East), Colleen! 🌊
Join us on this exclusive guided event to celebrate the flowing heart of our town — its rivers — and spot some incredible wildlife along the way. -
🚶♀️ Walk Details:
Distance: 1.6 miles / 2.6 km
Route: A circular walk around Horncastle Town
Stops: 15 fascinating stopping points highlighting wildlife, heritage and local restoration work
Terrain: Mainly flat, suitable for most fitness levels — please wear sturdy footwear
👧 Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult

🦋 From dragonflies dancing over the water to kingfishers darting by, this walk brings you closer to the hidden wonders of nature right in the heart of Horncastle. Keep an eye out for hand-carved wildlife sculptures and wander through the newly restored Millennium Woods — now teeming with life!
🗺️ Our brand-new leaflet and waymarkers highlight the rich wildlife and deep heritage of the area — grab your copy from the Sir Joseph Banks Centre or scan one of the QR codes (TBC To be installed) on route and set out on an adventure anytime!
