For weeks, Tartaran’s lumber camps have fallen silent. Workers vanish without a trace. Caravans return half-empty, if at all. Those who survive speak only in hushed voices of a beast that moves with impossible fury — by land, water, and sky.

The City Guard refuses to act beyond the safety of the walls. Merchants grow desperate as trade falters. Fear creeps through the streets.

But hope remains. A call has gone out for those brave — or foolish — enough to face the shadows north of the Tartaris River.
