Lenox College Butterfly Release

The Butterfly Release is an annual event held in the Campus Butterfly Gardens the first weekend of August. It is an opportunity to honor love ones with the release of a butterfly.

The event begins at noon with words from a local Pastor, Cheryl Gates. Then individual names are called one by one, family and friends step forward to receive their butterfly.

After the ceremony the gardens are full of butterflies and it's a wonderful opportunity for close interaction with the monarchs and photography.

Each Monarch is $25 and must be purchased in advance. Butterflies may not be available for purchase the day of the event.
