The Wild Robot

The Hopkins Community Cinema is showing "The Wild Robot," an animated adventure film from DreamWorks Animation.

"The Wild Robot" tells the story of ROZZUM unit 7134, or "Roz," a robot who becomes shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. She must learn to adapt to her new, harsh environment, eventually forming bonds with the island's animals and even becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling. The film is described as a powerful story about self-discovery, the connection between technology and nature, and the meaning of being alive and connected to all living things.

The movie is rated PG and has a runtime of 102 minutes. It is based on Peter Brown's beloved and award-winning #1 New York Times bestseller.
