Team Alabaster will be walking for one of their very own, prior veterinary technician student, Molly Honeycutt. Molly struggled with mental health, and we lost her-our friend, our team mate on June 6 2024 when her struggles became too much...when living in the darkness became too much.
We will walk for the many incredible individuals in the veterinary profession who are struggling under the weight of stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout. We will walk for our HEALTH and WELLBEING as a team. We will walk as a reminder that we are here to support one another, and it is ok to speak up without the fear of judgement! We are here for you, and you are NOT ALONE!
Veterinarians and support staff face some of the highest suicide rates of any profession, yet conversations around mental health are still too often hushed or overlooked. It’s time for that to change.
