MIss Paula & TheTwangbusters deftly mix up a juke joint cocktail for
your soles, combining the best of good-time vintage honky tonk country, blues and barrelhouse into a potent musical cocktail - you’ll be shaken and stirred! Described as "Patsy Cline meets Bessie Smith" and the lovechild of "Jerry Lee Lewis and Loretta Lynn," spitfire "Miss Paula" (Bradley) leads the band on piano and vocals. No stranger to Northeastern audiences, she is a founding member of honky tonkers "Girl Howdy" and has toured with old-time darlings "Uncle Earl" (on vocals and banjo), as well as recorded and toured with acoustic music powerhouses Tony Trischka and Bruce Molsky. In addition to unearthing gems of American roots music, Paula adds several of her original songs to the mix. The "Busters" are musical aces Kevin Maul (Robin & Linda Williams and host of others) on steel guitar, Peter Bearup on electric guitar (Hammer and Nail, The Coveralls and others) Gene Lemme (Hammer and Nail) on bass, and Bob Resnick (Off the Record) on drums. Together as "Miss Paula & The Twangbusters", they raise a rollicking roots ruckus.
