Welcome to our May Day Lei Workshop in Tidepools at Central Pacific Bank! Join us for a fun-filled day of eduation and artistry with Lei by Wehi, learning first-hand how to create lei in the heart of downtown Honolulu!
This workshop is in-person, allowing people to learn about lei making and the native plants and flowers of Hawai'i! No experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide all the materials you need. About Lei by Wehi
Lei by Wehi was created to spread the aloha (love) and appreciation of Native Hawaiian flora. Love is expressed in many ways, and in Hawaiian culture, giving leis can be a simple yet grand gesture. As a symbol of celebration, leis can accompany every special moment in life.
Founded by Native Hawaiian female entrepreneur, Kawehi Perry-Ah Hoy, Lei by Wehi bridges the gap for anyone to learn the beautiful art of lei making. Passed down through generations, lei making is delicate art form used to pay respect, show gratitude, and express affection for those special to you.
In this workshop, you will have the chance to learn various style of lei making with various native plants and flowers from across Hawai'i. Through these classes, we hope you leave with a deeper sense of understanding and admiration for this special art form.
