The First International Showcase of Korean Artisan Liquor — in the heart of Hong Kong
Forget what you thought you knew about Korean alcohol.
Taste SOOL: The First Sip is the first-ever international festival dedicated to Korea’s traditional craft liquors —
featuring Korea’s most respected brewers, distillers, and wine makers, live in Hong Kong.
From wild-fermented makgeolli and small-batch soju to fruit liquors and native Korean wines,
this festival invites you to experience Korean alcohol as a living cultural heritage —
alive, expressive, and completely unlike anything you've tasted before.
⚠️ All paid event tickets must be purchased through each individual Eventbrite event page.⚠️
Seats are limited and managed per session. Please register via the correct session link.
SOOL (술) is the Korean word for alcohol —
but Korea’s traditional SOOL is fermented, handcrafted, and alive.
Made with rice, water, and Korea’s wild starter culture (nuruk),
these drinks are produced in small family breweries and passed down through generations.
Taste SOOL brings this story to life — for the first time, outside Korea.
Hosted at the Korean Cultural Center, this visual exhibition explores the tools, ingredients, and human hands behind Korea’s traditional fermentation —
celebrating the invisible time and care behind every drop.
