About this Event


Taste SOOL Masterclass: One Unmissable Experience. Three Distinct Korean Traditions.


Taste SOOL Masterclass is an exclusive, invite-only tasting event for F&B industry professionals only.

For the first time in Hong Kong, you’ll experience the full spectrum of Korea’s traditional alcohol—soju, makgeolli & yakju (cheongju), and Korean wine—through three curated classes led by master brewers, distillers, and educators from Korea.

Each tasting session runs for 40 minutes and will rotate throughout the 2-hour experience.
You're free to join one, two, or all three sessions at your own pace.



This event is strictly for professionals: sommeliers, beverage buyers, chefs, bartenders, importers, and F&B media.
General admission is not permitted.


Walk-ins may be accepted depending on capacity, but advance RSVP is strongly recommended and guarantees priority access.



✨ What You’ll Experience

Soju
Premium, small-batch soju distilled using traditional Korean methods.
A rare opportunity to view the historic sojugori (traditional clay still) in person.
Tastings will feature modern craft expressions, not sojugori-distilled spirits.

Makgeolli & Yakju (Cheongju)
Naturally fermented rice wines using Korean nuruk.
Raw, alive, and ever-changing—even after bottling. Taste the vibrancy of living fermentation.

Korean Wine
Wines made from native grapes like Campbell Early and Cheongsoo, as well as Korean fruits like omija and maesil.
Bright, aromatic, and a new perspective on Asian terroir.

Produced from native Korean grapes like Campbell Early and Cheongsoo, as well as uniquely fermented fruits such as maesil (green plum), omija (five-flavor berry), and aronia, Korean wines offer a balance of bright acidity, delicate aromatics, and a refreshing expression of terroir rarely found elsewhere.


Join us for an exclusive guided tasting led by Jungwook Choi, Founder of the Choi Jungwook Wine Lab and Korea’s leading expert in Korean wine.

With deep knowledge and years of experience in tasting, researching, and promoting Korean wines, he will take you on a sensory journey through Korea’s vineyards, fermentation styles, and the evolving identity of Korean wine.

Naturally fermented with nuruk, a wild fermentation starter unique to Korea, these unfiltered and clear rice wines deliver complex aromas, gentle sweetness, and tangy acidity. Alive with yeast and rich in culture, they bridge the past and present in every glass.


Guided by artisan brewers from Korea, this tasting introduces the soulful diversity of small-batch makgeolli and refined, sake-like yakju, rarely found outside Korea.
