Stephane

Stephane is a Manouche guitarist whose style is heavily influenced by Django Reinhardt. Originally from Belgium, Stephane’s guitar journey spans over 30 years spent in Belgium, New York and Hong Kong, during which he performed in a variety of styles. Stephane now focuses on Manouche style, and the melodies and songs of the great Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli whom he was listening back home in his childhood. Stephane’s aim is to convey the beauty and richness of the Manouche style to his audience, remaining truthful to the origins of the style.

Nikolai Konev

A self-taught guitarist that fell in love with gypsy jazz many years ago. He initially played mainstream jazz, inspired by Joe Pass, John Pizzarelli, and Gonzalo Bergara. Nick later decided to immerse himself in the music that inspired those great guitarists — the music of Django. As a result, his style is built upon the same foundation but enriched with a variety of modern jazz features.

Jeffrey Saunders

Multi-instrumentalist with eclectic musical taste and background. As a young adult, he taught himself jazz piano and played keyboards in an R&B band. He later learned guitar and was introduced to music of Django and its community of enthusiasts. After several years of regular jamming, he picked up bass guitar and now supplies the bottom end for the trio.
