Ricardo Arnaldo art opening at etc. Gallery, 257 N. Krome Ave.

Join us this Thursday, 5:30, at the etc. Art Gallery at 257 N. Krome Avenue, downtown Homestead, for a reception honoring Ricardo Arnaldo. Refreshments will be served.

Ricardo Arnaldo was born in Havana and at fourteen years old, he came to New York City. He received a Bachelor degree from the City University (CUNY). He is currently represented by several stock photo agencies, both here and in Europe, that have used his work in advertising and publications including The Miami Herald and Oxygen Magazine. His interest has become more focused on the art aspects of photography, and now concentrates on images that more resemble paintings than a photograph. He prefers outdoor, natural light images, which use strong light sources that highlight textures and shadows.

Ricardo has been experimenting with what others have called "camera paint", making a photograph look more like a surreal painting that seems to transcend reality.
