In this session participants will learn about effective thinking routines and strategies that can be applied in any classroom to promote creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. Then, in the afternoon, participants will complete 5 engaging maker activities inspired by seasonal picture books, perfect for sparking imagination and connection in your classroom. Each project is tied to stories that celebrate the end of November and December—think gratitude, winter wonder, and holiday cheer. Everyone will walk away with resources, strategies and even some materials that are ready to use!
