About the event

Common mites in ornamental crops
Present basic information on common mites in ornamental crops, particularly how to scout them and control measures.

About this Event

This presentation is adapted from the materials used for a training class on mites for extension agents, which was taught by Dr. Revynthi at UF TREC. The selected materials will provide ornamental growers and management personnel with basic information on 4 common mites on ornamental crops, focusing on how to scout them and potential management options. This is a good opportunity for those who are interested in learning more about mite control in their production but missed the workshop on mites that was offered by Dr. Revynthi earlier this year. This class will be offered both in-person and via Zoom. FDACS CEUs (0.5) will be available for pesticide license holders, and lunch will be offered for in-person participants. Donation is appreciated to cover the lunch cost for the class.
