✨ Acupuncture & Documentary Night ✨
📅 Friday, October 10
📍 The Living Room – 111 W Pioneer Ave
Join us at Kachemak Bay Recovery Connection for a unique evening featuring a screening of the powerful documentary Dope Is Death and a group acupuncture session with Angela Hunt, MAc, LAc from Five Element Acupuncture.
🎬 About the Film
Dope Is Death tells the story of how the first acupuncture detoxification program was established in the U.S. This community-based treatment was considered a threat by the government and medical establishment, and its history is both inspiring and eye-opening.
🌿 About the NADA Protocol
The acupuncture session will use the NADA ear protocol, which involves placing five tiny needles in each ear. This gentle, non-verbal treatment is believed to release endorphins, creating a calming effect. Many people experience reduced withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and anxiety, along with improved focus and overall well-being. For those who prefer not to use needles, ear seeds will also be available as an alternative. Participants will relax for 30–45 minutes during treatment.
