Area middle and high school students--learn to row with us!
In our half day program, participants will learn all the basics of rowing, from the difference between sculling and sweep rowing, to how to carry a boat down to the docks.
Instruction on safety and rowing techniques are infused in games and activities, all while enjoying the beautiful Connecticut River.
We meet rain or shine, although we will come indoors for games during severe weather or water conditions!
Program runs 9am-11:30am daily. Optional lunch provided by Holyoke Public Schools 11:30am-12pm. All participants welcome to stay and enjoy lunch and games on the porch together until 12pm.
Rowers should bring sun protection, a water bottle, and snack.
