Field Trip - South Stack & Cemlyn Bay Angelsey

We will be visiting the stunning RSPB South Stack and North Wales Wildlife Trust’s Cemlyn Nature Reserve.

South Stack is renowned for its spectacular sea views and serves as a vital breeding ground for Guillemots, Razorbills and Puffins during spring. The rare Chough can be observed swooping along the cliffs throughout the year.

Cemlyn Nature Reserve features an elliptical shingle ridge and is home to a renowned colony of Sandwich, Common and Arctic Terns. It also provides an important habitat for specialist plant species such as sea kale, sea campion and the yellow horned-poppy.This trip is free but any donations to the local RSPB Chester group are gratefully accepted.

Location: Meet at the Sainsbury end of Caldy Valley church car park, Caldy Valley Road, Chester CH3 5PR. for car sharing.
