MSU Health Care Sports Medicine's Athletic Trainers invite high school coaches, athletic trainers, assistant coaches, and athletic directors to learn how to provide initial medical assistance in the case of injury, especially if there is no medical provider on site. Additionally we will be hosting certification/recertification for first aid, AED, and CPR training during our morning session.

PM Session | Emergency Action Planning

During the complimentary PM session, there will be 4 stations in the program including:
- guidance on football helmet and equipment removal
- a review of CPR skills
- guidance on how to provide care for heat related illnesses like muscle cramps, heat syncope, and heat stroke.
- knowledge provided on specific medical emergencies: Dealing with a diabetic athlete, Athletes’ experiencing anaphylactic shock, Breathing issues or an asthmatic athlete with or without an inhaler present, Other medical emergencies that may present at an athletic event
Free CEUs are available for athletic trainers.
