Goosfest is thrilled to present a unique opportunity to learn from renowned NW artist and designer Barbara Biddulph, whose energetic and dynamic approach to drawing has made her one of the region’s most sought-after teachers.
Join us for a hands-on Introduction to Drawing Workshop set on a beautiful working farm. We’ll start indoors with warm-up exercises to loosen up your drawing skills. Then we’ll head outside to draw en plein air around the charming farm buildings and livestock, applying the techniques learned in the introduction.
This workshop is designed to push you out of your comfort zone – in the best possible way!
👉 What to Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothes you don’t mind getting mucky – this is a working farm!
A camping stool, drawing stool, or lightweight folding chair (or at least a plastic bag to sit on – there are no benches).
A sketchbook you enjoy using (A4 or larger).
A selection of sharp pencils, crayons, and watercolours if you wish – the more options, the better!
Bring your own picnic lunch or enjoy refreshments at the Bidlea Dairy Café on-site.
This event will go ahead rain or shine – please bring an umbrella if rain is forecast!
Get ready for an inspiring day of creativity in the fresh air. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills, you’ll leave with new techniques and renewed enthusiasm for drawing.
