Join the Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company for an enchanting evening that will transport you to the heart of México. Through a performance of timeless and beautiful serenades, mariachi musicians and dancers explore the various states of México and their unique wedding traditions. See the premiere of a mesmerizing new dance piece inspired by the vibrant lives and traditions of Oaxaca’s muxes, recognized as a third gender within Zapotec culture.

As one of Los Angeles’ most vibrant advocates for preserving and championing Mexican culture, Grandeza Mexicana has spent more than 20 years advancing the art of folk ballet. The company’s trademarks are not only their stunning costumes and choreography, but their ability to “[pay] tribute to the traditions and customs of Mexico’s historic past, while honoring the promise of the future” (Noozhawk).
