Gathering Women Book Club

Our May book is The Summer of Yes, by Courtney Walsh. A fun, lighthearted story with valuable messages. Say “Yes” to this fun, summertime read!

Kelsey always dreamed of being a writer, but she is now 32, and stuck in a routine of helping others tell their stories. Her life is safe, secure, and stable.

When she is involved in a near-death accident, she ends up in the hospital where she meets Georgina Tate—a famous cosmetic magnate. Georgina has only a handful of months left to live and is dealing with her own regrets.

And the “Yes” plan is born. It takes some convincing, but Georgina agrees to go along with Kelsey on this adventure. Together, they say yes to whatever comes their way. Leading to stories of love, forgiveness, regret, romance, and finding a way to live a fearless life that intertwine as these two women make an indelible impression on each other. And it all starts with a simple “Yes.”
