More Than Aesthetics: How Interior Design Shapes Well-Being
We live in a world where we spend nearly 90% of our time indoors. This simple fact makes the design of our interior environments not just a matter of aesthetics, but one of deep personal and collective well-being—not just our homes or offices, but our health, our moods, our productivity, and even our sense of identity.
Interior design isn't just about choosing colors or arranging furniture. It's about crafting spaces that support the human spirit. Think of a room that makes you feel instantly at peace. Or another that sparks creativity. These reactions are not accidental. They are the result of ruminative design.
Jen Duncan is a local mom and interior designer with projects located in Michigan, Chicago and North Carolina. She and her family were featured in the HGTV show House Hunters Renovation where she and her husband gut-renovated and redesigned a classic Chicago-style bungalow. Jen has been antiquing, designing and “sprucing” for over 20 years with a specialty in thoughtful design-on-a-dime.
