𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐔𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐉𝐄𝐍
𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗪𝗔𝗬
We retreat from every day pace and "noise" to create the best foundation for the connectedness to ourselves and for reaching out and connect to others. We lower the pace and cultivate slowness, as a meditation, so we are connected to the path we follow and the direction we want to take.
Our days together is an invitation to unfold, explore and experiment with your dance, and the theme; CONNECTEDNESS, through the 5 Rhythms; 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒘, 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒐, 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒐𝒔, 𝒍𝒚𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔
We use connectedness as a group theme and the repeatable dance to tune in on how do we become connected to ourselves, the other, to the community, to nature, to……?
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗗 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗢𝗠
The rhythms are like 5 different " landscapes of movement" that can help expand your territory and where the journey cannot be covered with the same movement.
It’s easy to think that freedom is integrated in the free dance - no method - but often we get stuck in our "old" movement patterns. Freedom hides in the cracks in our habitual dance, in the repetition, the pretended, the smart, etc.
The rhythms help to find these cracks, from a bodily anchored place, and become a "means of transportation" that can move you further and deeper in your dance.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀
In dance we can express ourselves, let go of emotional states, etc., but what does it take to reach the "foot of the mountain" so that the dance moves something fundamental?
We all know how to be touched in a concrete way. It can be soft, hard, passionate, convulsive, awkward, etc., but when touch is felt as heartfelt, we feel completely embraced.
No reservations, no expectations, no agenda - "just" touched - all attention rests in that touch. There is nothing before and nothing after.
What may be frozen in us, gets time and space to loosen – muscles relaxes, tensions releases, the breath lower, thoughts are released….
How do we get there in our own dance, with our own touch? … where we move ourselves and get access to ourselves from a different perspective.
𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗗
Your dance is reflected in other spaces and vice versa. The retreat has a special focus on that element and has consciously cultivated the concrete practice for many years. Although the dance is the main element, the interweaving of different contexts - dance, nature, song, artistic expression, work - is important to get a good effect from the retreat. We can create movement with our dance, with words, with song/sound and with other forms of expression.
The spaces not only call for your presence and engagement, but also to notice and create conscious transitions, so that you can shift the effect of the dance, and let it expand your "dance" with life.
Then integration can happen on the spot, rather than it come afterwards, and you can allow yourself to let go of previous "agendas", and instead make room to listen and intuitively let yourself be guided by life - dissolve rather than solve - and create access to new spaces in yourself.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 “𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘” 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬
The community is very central in those days. We are not just there to find the power in own space.
The retreat finds special inspiration in how to create the good community, where everyone contributes actively, regardless of whether it's in your dance or your daily task.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 (𝟳 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 / 𝟲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀)
A clear framework and the program aim to minimize unnecessary disturbances and create a special space where you can give yourself completely to your own dance/process. The dance is our joint ritual for the entire stay.
There are 5-6 hours of dance and movement every day. There is leisure time in the middle of the day, so you have time for exploring the fantastic nature surrounding Lyngborgen.
Below is an example of how a day could be structured:
08.00-09.00: Breakfast
09.30-11.30: 5Rhythms dance
12:00-13:00: Lunch
13.00-16.00: Leisure time
16.00-18.00: 5Rhythms dance - A wave that builds on today's theme
18.30-19.30: Dinner
20:00-22:00: Evening - Leisure or community activities
𝗟𝗬𝗡𝗚𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡
Lyngborgen is located on a large natural plot of 60,000 m2 and approx. 500 m from a beautiful beach in the bay of Sejerø.
There is a small natural forest on the plot, soccer field, volleyball court, basket net, playground and campfire. Lyngborgen borders a beautiful and protected nature area and this area are the only one between Lyngborgen and the beach (see photos in the event).
The camp contains a large and separate pyramid-shaped space with wooden floor.
The beds are divided into double rooms, 4-, 6 and 8-person rooms. Therefore, you must be confident with sleeping with others, of the same gender, unless you come in a group, with a number - 4, 6 and 8 persons - that fits in the rooms.
It's possible to buy a single room, a bed in a double room and cabins. It will also be possible to bring a tent, or a wagon, to stay in without any additional charge, if you want some more privacy.
𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐏𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝘁𝗼 𝐋𝗬𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍
Lyngborgen is located 90 km from Copenhagen and there is public transport to the site. There will also be an opportunity to coordinate transport in a group on Facebook. You can there connect with people who go by car to the retreat.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗘
To make the retreat as accessible, to as many people as possible, the price is low. This can be done because the facilities of Lyngborg aren't luxury. The accommodation is more in the hostel category.
Emphasis is placed on having good facilities for the dance and resources in creating a good program that can promote a rewarding process - less luxury but more effect
The camp is functioning by the help of the group. That means that you have a task every day: breakfast, lunch, dinner, washing up or cleaning - approx. 1 hour duration.
But it's not just about price. It is very conscious that the retreat is built on active co-responsibility. The good communities more often arise where we ourselves have a share in the creation.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗷ø𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿?
I have a ❤️ that beats for dance. Dance has followed me since I started, as a 3-year-old, at Ulla Poulsen's dance school in Ringsted .
My interest in body and movement started with my yoga and meditation practice when I was in my early twenties.
I became a yoga teacher in 2005 and have practiced 5Rhythms dance since 2007. I have taught improvised dance in my own concept - Nuets Dans - since 2015 and have since become a 5Rhythms teacher.
I am also a psychologist and have my own practice. I have worked clinically, i.a. with therapy and supervision, since 2005.
In recent years, I have been very busy developing methods where the body and movement are actively used in therapy.
I attended my first retreat at the age of 26 and have since participated in many different retreats. The experiences, both good and bad, help to create the framework for the stay.
Over the past 11 years I have organized many different camps and retreats. My ❤️ also beats for what we can create together.
My own training and teaching can be summarized as a training in; "being with what there is", regardless of whether it is in dance, therapy, meditation, yoga or another form of practice. This is what I strive for in my own life and try to pass on. I live in Vesterbro, in Copenhagen, with my 17-year-old son.
