A message from your local troop:
Hello friends, this is Girl Scout Cadette Seyara!
As part of my journey toward earning the Silver Award, I’ve been working on a project to bring awareness to Kleb Woods Nature Center and to help improve its natural attractions for both wildlife and people.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be gathering volunteers to help repair a wildlife drinking pond. Over time, the flagstones around the pond have been displaced by visitors, and the pond’s underliner now needs to be scrubbed so we can cement the stones back into place.
I’m looking for strong helpers to move stones, and plenty of extra hands to scrub and clean. This is a wonderful opportunity to support a local nature center, enjoy the outdoors, and give back to the community.
When: Saturday, August 30th
Time: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
Where: Kleb Woods Nature Center
Girl Scouts will earn Community Service recognition hours, and everyone who comes out will receive a fun patch—even if you’re not a Girl Scout! This is also a perfect daddy-and-daughter moment to share, working side by side to make a difference in nature together.
Let’s work together to make this pond safe, beautiful, and lasting for wildlife and visitors alike. I would be so grateful if you could join me!
