About the event
August Community Bike Ride
This month, we're excited to partner with Hoboken Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW) for a special Hoboken Community Bike Ride along the Hoboken Waterfront. We'll meet at 10:45 AM at Pier A Park, where we'll kick things off with a short talk from Ron Hine of FBW.
Then, we'll hop on our bikes to explore the waterfront, a vision that has been coming to life through decades of dedicated advocacy by FBW.
Our community rides are family-friendly bike rides through Hoboken, usually covering 3-5 miles with a stop or two along the way. To keep things safe, we’re grateful to partner with the Hoboken Police, who provide a safe escort for our rides. Each ride starts in a different location and follows a unique route, so be sure to check the monthly event announcement for details.
We ask that all participants be on a bicycle (or in a child seat on an adult’s bike), wear a helmet, and be able to ride comfortably at a brisk jogging pace (about 4 mph). If you're unsure, feel free to reach out—we want everyone to have a great time!
